August Update - Cam Six Month

Where did summer go? I feel like just a few weeks ago I was partying it up at Lake Powell and planning Izzy's birthday party. But all of a sudden, it's fall and I'm partying it up at halloween parties and planning halloween costumes instead! I'm pretty late in writing this update, but I'm determined to get this blog out before Cam turns 7 months on Saturday!

August was pretty low key, and since we had a busy July, and a lot going on in September it was nice to just lay low and spend time at home.

Cam is a full time roller and scootcher now. He immediately rolls to his tummy if given the chance, and explores every inch of whatever surface he is on. He loves to look around at his surroundings, and is very curious. He has been to lots of baseball games in his short little life, but he just becomes more enthralled with all the goings on every time we go. We went as a family a few weeks ago, the kids wore matching shirts, which Izzy thought was the best thing to ever happen. I wish it were easier to match siblings of the opposite sex. Maybe I should start a clothing company....

Cam is a very social bug, and makes friends with everyone he meets. He always has a smile for everyone and if he really likes you, he will kicks his legs and flail his arms in every direction. He laughs at anything and is really good at making you feel like the most amazing person on the planet.

He is such an easy going kid. He was a great little companion on a fun little day trip up north to hike the Tonto Bridge, and loved just being in his carrier, looking around at the world. He will sleep anywhere, although he does prefer a crib. He has a better relationship with his carseat than he did as a newborn, which is very nice.

You should see this kid when he gets in the bath. He splashes and kicks and goes crazy the whole time and basically turns our bathroom into a water park. It's amazing. Izzy thinks this is hilarious and only encourages him. It's my favorite thing!

Campbells favorite person in the whole world is Isabel. He lights up the most when he sees her. They share a very special bond and I just love to watch them interact. Izzy LOVES her brother. She is so kind to him, is so patient with him and thinks he is the handsomest, funniest, chubbiest little bubba! I'm so grateful for their relationship and I can't wait to watch it grow!

Cam started sitting up unassisted. I don't know how he learned it, one day I jokingly sat him up to "practice" and he just never fell over. He loves sitting and playing with toys and watching Izzy dance or sing or do something funny to make him laugh. I love when he sits up too because he is less mobile that way!

Campbell is growing perfectly and he is still the best kid in the world. He is easy going, happy, smiley, sleeps amazingly, loves kisses and cuddles, laughs constantly, eats like a champ, and is the absolute light of our lives.
